Chakkali is a crispy, crunchy, savoury, Indian snack. The snack which was prepared and eaten at the time of Diwali, is now become all season and all party snack and available at any time in shops and in hotels as complimentary snack. It is prepared in various ways and called as Murukkuin south India. In Maharashtra, Chakkali prepared from Bhajani which is prepared from different roasted grains/pulses with various combinations according to traditions followed in different places. While Murukku is typically made from rice flour and urad dal flour in Tamil Nadu ,Chakkali is made of various grains/pulses in Maharashtra.
